Quality Measures

Commitment to Quality
We are proud of our overall 5-Star rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This rating is based on stringent criteria including:

Reduced Readmissions
As a nonprofit organization, MCNR is 100% focused on improving patient outcomes. Readmission rates are one important measure of the effectiveness of care. MCNR has achieved stellar results reducing hospital readmissions related to congestive heart failure (CHF) and taking safeguards to prevent orthopedic infections, another cause of high readmission rates.

Beyond Numbers
Quality is more than simply an accumulation of statistical measurements. It is a culture and a philosophy. Our goal is to create and sustain an environment that both delivers the highest standards of care and fosters:

Compassionate Nursing
“Everything we do here is patient-driven,” says Michelle LaVallee, Director of Nursing.
Dedicated assignments allow the nursing staff to get to know patients’ daily routines and
enable them to quickly recognize changes in behavior, or conditions that need attention
such as skin health, hydration and weight loss. The core values MCNR lives by are:

“I consistently observe thoughtful and caring interactions between the staff and patients
or residents,”
says LaVallee, adding, “Employees from all departments are fully committed to
offering the highest level of service.”

Patient Satisfaction
MCNR’s patients and residents value the compassionate care they receive, giving MCNR high marks on satisfaction surveys, and sharing heartfelt testimonials [link]. MCNR is truly a special place for people to recover and return home, or choose to make MCNR their home.
